TouchDesigner & Notch Integration with the ActiveFloor System

Here at BrightLogic, the TouchController now works perfectly with TouchDesigner & Notch. TouchDesigner and Notch are visual development platform that equips you with the tools you need to create stunning real-time projects and rich user experiences. This means that we can control any aspects of content on the fly, which opens up the floodgates for creativity and spur-of-the-moment inspiration! Simple connect TouchDesigner or Notch to the TouchController’s NDI Feed and voila!

The visuals below were created mere moments apart from each other. We started with a visualizer effect that had a forceful jet-stream like appearance of green twinkles. Then changed the effect to a soft and calm orange glow that mimicked fireflies under the foot. The best part is that we did all this in minutes; sometimes even seconds apart! The range of ability and spontaneity means you can change up your visualizers to create new moods easily and in a way that’s fun and engaging!

Here’s another example of what you can do with TouchDesigner - this one uses LEAP Motion integration. The LEAP Motion detector activates the rings in X, Y and Z space! This handy GIF (pun completely intended) features a big swooping effect in Z space. The integration enables the user to act as a conductor to the orchestra created in TouchDesigner.

Below you can see this same feature and how it looked from the perspective of our ActiveFloor™ System. The effect in this case really brought on a dazzling and intense visual that goes along with our brand content. It also showcases the energy and activity that this kind of integration can create!

We’ve featured just two awesome ways in which we’ve played around with the capabilities of TouchDesigner for the ActiveFloor™ System. We’re eager to explore further with TouchDesigner so we can build even more powerful content and experiences for the ActiveFloor™ System in the future!
